“Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.” – 1 Peter 2:16 (NIV)

Freedom is a responsibility. In the United States, our freedoms come with the expectation that we will uphold truth, justice, and kindness. Spiritually, God calls us to live responsibly with the freedom Christ has given us, free, but also surrendered.

Living as God’s servants may sound contradictory to freedom, but in His Kingdom, surrender leads to true liberty. When we submit to His will, we find the deepest joy, peace, and purpose. This week, let’s celebrate the privilege of freedom by honoring God in how we live, speak, and love.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for trusting me with freedom. Help me to use it well, not to please myself, but to glorify You. Teach me to live surrendered, knowing that Your ways are higher and Your plans are good. Let my life reflect the freedom that only You can give
